Enhanced USB PD3.1 SPR / PPS Protocol Controller
Description
The CY2332M is a highly integrated USB Type-C® power delivery (PD) controller targeted for the premium USB Type-C adapter and charger applications with PD3.1 V1.6 SPR (Standard Power Range) / PPS (Programmable Power Supply) and Qualcomm® QC4/QC4+/QC5 protocols supporting.
The enhancements of CY2332M over existing CY2332/CY2333 include efficiency improvement with Rsense 5mΩ option and enlarged SRAM size to support software encryption. Furthermore, the CY2332M implements a new CC1/CC2-short-to-VBUS protection up to 28V.
The CY2332M provides two kinds of packages: DFN-14, a pin-to-pin upgrade part from CY2332/CY2333 DFN-14, and QFN-24, a non-pin-to-pin part from CY2332/CY2333 QFN-24 but without the need of VBUS MOS switch whenever co-works with a DC/DC controller with a separated static DC power.
